Modern Equipment for Small Hydropower Plants to Be Produced in Andijan
A new project is being implemented in the Andijan region to manufacture modern equipment for small and micro hydropower plants. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the project of Andijon Jinlun yangi energiya, a new enterprise being established to produce hydropower equipment.
The project is valued at USD 20 million and is fully financed by foreign investment. The plant is expected to reach full production capacity in 2027. Once operational, it will produce up to 100 small hydropower plant units per year, worth around UZS 70 billion, as well as micro-hydropower equipment, machinery and electrical equipment.
The project is expected to create 200 new jobs and export products to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, with annual exports planned to reach USD 3 million.
