GSU and Islam Karimov Tashkent State Technical University Expand Cooperation in Education and Energy
On November 17, as part of ongoing international collaboration, a delegation led by Mr. Ali Alshimmari, CEO & Managing Director of Global South Utilities (GSU), together with representatives of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan and JV "Yashil Energiya" LLC, visited the Islam Karimov Tashkent State Technical University (TSTU).
During the meeting, the parties held in-depth discussions on the development of renewable energy projects at both national and international levels, the introduction of cutting-edge technologies, and the enhancement of personnel training to meet modern industry requirements. Opportunities to strengthen the educational, scientific, and practical foundation in the energy sector were also explored.
The delegation commended the university’s strong scientific potential, advanced laboratory facilities, and experience in preparing highly qualified young specialists.
Following the visit, the parties agreed to undertake joint initiatives, including collaborative projects, internship programs for students and faculty, and the launch of innovative renewable energy activities. This strengthened cooperation is expected to support the advancement of the energy sector and open new opportunities for sustainable development in Uzbekistan.
