206 New Investment Projects Launched and Construction Started in Andijan
A ceremony was held in the Andijan region to launch and begin construction of 206 new investment projects with a total value of USD 9.4 billion, with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev taking part.
Of these, 98 projects worth USD 2.05 billion have already been commissioned, while construction has started on another 108 projects valued at USD 7.35 billion. The projects cover energy, construction, textiles, mechanical engineering, education, tourism, logistics, pharmaceuticals and healthcare.
In the energy sector, the projects include electricity storage and distribution systems, solar panel production, micro-hydropower equipment manufacturing, hydropower plants and waste-to-energy facilities.
Once implemented, the projects are expected to create more than 45,000 new jobs, generate annual production worth UZS 60.6 trillion, and create export potential of USD 533 million.
