The Samarkand Climate Forum, which took place on April 4-6, 2025 in Samarkand, was a significant milestone in strengthening interregional cooperation. The event highlighted the efforts of participating countries to deepen economic and political ties and open up new opportunities for partnership and development in key areas such as transport and energy.

The summit is supported by Uzbekistan's initiative to host a climate forum, which highlights several initiatives by the president of Uzbekistan, including the "Green Agenda for Central Asia" and its role in promoting sustainable development in the region.

Within the framework of the third session, meetings between the delegations from the participating countries took place on the topic of "Clean Energy: The Basis of Sustainable and Ecological Development".

As a result of negotiations with the participation of Mr. Mirzamakhmudov Zhurabek Tursunpulatovich, the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mr. Suhail Al Mazroui, the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the United Arab Emirates, and representatives from other relevant government agencies, a memorandum of understanding has been signed regarding the acquisition of a stake in "Yashil Energiya" LLC by "Global South Utilities".
