“Green Energy” Through the Eyes of Graduate Students of the Academy of Public Policy and Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Yashil Energiya JV LLC recently hosted a study visit for master’s degree students of the Academy of Public Policy and Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the visit, participants were introduced to the practical implementation of the Presidential decisions aimed at accelerating the deployment of renewable energy sources and energy-efficiency technologies. The students also learned about Yashil Energiya’s key achievements, ongoing projects, and strategic plans for the future.

For reference: In September 2025, Global South Utilities (GSU), an Abu Dhabi-based energy company, acquired a 51% stake in Yashil Energiya JV LLC and joined the company as a strategic founding partner.

The program focused on bridging theoretical knowledge with real-world practice, emphasizing the role of renewable energy in public policy, as well as the importance of digitalization and innovative technological solutions. Participants visited specialized laboratories and gained first-hand insights into the operational principles of renewable energy systems.

Such engagements play an important role in developing a new generation of professional public-sector managers. For the Academy’s participants, this experience provides valuable practical context for more informed, evidence-based decision-making in their future leadership roles.

The practical training program will continue until December 19, involving more than 160 participants, including deputy district and city hokims, heads of departments from ministries and agencies responsible for integrated territorial development, and managers from the social sector.
