Solar Photovoltaic Power Plants with a Total Capacity of 25.6 MW Commissioned at Uzsuvtaminot JSC Facilities

Uzbekistan continues to systematically implement measures aimed at supplying socially and strategically important facilities with renewable energy, reducing electricity costs, and improving energy efficiency.

In accordance with Resolution No. PP-57 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 16 February 2023,“Yashil Energiya” is actively installing solar photovoltaic power plants at its own expense and supplying electricity to organisations and institutions operating throughout the country.

Under the project, solar photovoltaic power plants with a total capacity of approximately 36 MW are planned to be installed at Uzsuvtaminot JSC facilities. To date, solar PV plants with a total capacity of 25.6 MW have been installed at 187 facilities. This represents more than 71% of the total planned capacity.

The completed works cover water supply facilities in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the Bukhara, Jizzakh, Navoi, Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya, and Khorezm regions. In particular, solar energy is now being used at pumping stations, water transmission and distribution facilities, and other production sites.

To date, these solar PV plants have generated a total of 16.051 million kW of electricity, resulting in savings of more than UZS 2 billion.

The introduction of solar photovoltaic power plants enables the water supply system to meet part of its electricity demand from renewable sources, reduce operating costs, and improve the energy efficiency of its facilities.

Considering that pumping and water transmission equipment requires a continuous electricity supply, providing these facilities with solar generation contributes not only to economic efficiency but also to the responsible use of energy resources.

“Yashil Energiya”, in cooperation with Uzsuvtaminot JSC, will continue implementing the remaining stages of the project and gradually commissioning the planned solar PV capacities.

Yashil Energiya invites all organisations and enterprises to mutually beneficial cooperation aimed at the efficient use of solar energy, reducing electricity costs, and improving energy efficiency. Partner with us, and together we will make a meaningful contribution to Uzbekistan’s transition to a green economy and a sustainable energy future!
