  1. 2023

    • 2023-02-16 "Yashil Energiya" LLC was established based on Presidential Decree No. 57 of 2023 on accelerating the introduction of renewable energy sources and energy-saving technologies.
    • By the end of 2023, the capacity of the PV plants installed and operated by "Yashil Energiya" LLC exceeded 20,000 kW.
  2. 2024

    • In order to contribute to the "green" economy, "Yashil Energiya" LLC has established departments of mini and micro hydropower plants and electric vehicle charging stations.
    • By the end of 2024, the capacity of PV stations owned by "Yashil Energiya" LLC exceeded 48,000 kW.
  3. 2025

    • 2025-09-24 Acquisition of a 51% stake in "Yashil Energiya" LLC by the Emirati company "GSU".
    • 2025-09-29 the company transitioned to a new ownership structure and was reorganized as the joint venture "JV Yashil Energiya LLC".
    • By the end of 2025, the installed capacity of Yashil Energiya's operating assets reached 130,000 kW.
  4. 2026

    • EV charging stations have been successfully launched in the Kashkadarya, Jizzakh, and Bukhara regions.

Uzbekistan Strengthens Its Position in the Renewable Energy Market

In an interview with The Investor Uzbekistan 2026, Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, outlined the country’s energy transformation, the rapid development of renewable energy sources, and the creation of a stable investment environment for international partners. The interview highlights the growth of solar and wind generation, battery energy storage systems, and Uzbekistan’s long-term energy strategy through 2030.

EDB to back Uzbekistan’s green infrastructure development together with Yashil Energiya

The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) and JV Yashil Energiya LLC have signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate in renewable energy. The parties plan to jointly finance and implement projects in distributed solar generation, electric vehicle charging infrastructure and small hydropower plants in Uzbekistan.
