Solar power stations installed at six more higher education institutions!

In accordance with Clause 6 of the Presidential Decree No. PQ-57 of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Accelerating the Introduction of Renewable Energy Sources and Energy-Saving Technologies in 2023”, Yashil Energiya LLC was established to install small-scale renewable energy systems in buildings and facilities of social institutions, government bodies, and other organizations.

To date, solar photovoltaic power stations with a total capacity of 10 MW have been installed at social facilities and government buildings across the country, including:

  • Tashkent City – 2 MW
  • Andijan Region – 0.75 MW
  • Fergana Region – 0.6 MW
  • Tashkent Region – 0.85 MW
  • Surxondaryo Region – 0.55 MW
  • Kashkadarya Region – 0.6 MW
  • Jizzakh Region – 0.65 MW
  • Samarkand Region – 0.7 MW
  • Sirdaryo Region – 0.65 MW
  • Republic of Karakalpakstan – 0.5 MW
  • Bukhara Region – 0.5 MW
  • Navoi Region – 0.5 MW
  • Namangan Region – 0.65 MW
  • Khorezm Region – 0.5 MW

In addition, under a government directive, solar photovoltaic power plants with a total capacity of 2.86 MW have been installed at six higher education institutions throughout the country, and installation of 8.8 MW of solar panels is underway at 321 vocational education institutions.

These large-scale efforts by the company contribute to improving the reliability of the energy system and reducing the emission of harmful substances that negatively affect the environment.

The primary goals of installing solar panels include:

  • expanding the use of renewable energy sources,
  • transitioning consumers to alternative energy,
  • introducing energy-saving technologies,
  • saving natural gas, and ensuring uninterrupted energy supply during the winter season.
